Who can buy from Eight to Eighty Eyewear?
We’re an importer and manufacturer working with licensed eyecare professionals and optical businesses: independent optical shops, wholesale labs, government contract programs, optometry and ophthalmology companies, chain stores, buying groups, and frame distributors. We don’t sell to the general public.
If you’re a patient looking for a pair you saw at your optician’s office, ask them to reorder it. They can get it from us directly.
How do I open a wholesale account?
Fill out the account request form, or call 877.248.8280. We’ll ask for:
- Business name, shipping address, and billing address
- Owner’s name, email address, and fax number
- Proof you’re in the trade: optical license, business license, or company information
Approval usually takes 1–2 business days, and we’ll assign you a rep.
Can I see wholesale pricing on the website?
No, we don’t publish wholesale pricing online. Call the office at 877.248.8280 or ask your rep and we’ll go over pricing and any current programs. There’s no obligation to order, and you can request a free catalog first.
Is there an online account or customer login?
Yes, for approved accounts. The office sends your customer portal login by invitation. Call 877.248.8280 or ask your rep for one. It shows your past website orders with one-click reorder, tracking for shipments to your account, and your saved lists, and you can add your own staff.
You can still place orders without logging in. Invoices and statements go through the office for now.
Can multiple locations order on one account?
Yes. We can set up separate dropship addresses for your lab under a single billing account, so each location gets its own shipments while your statements stay consolidated. Tell us how you want invoices split and we’ll configure it.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimums. We do recommend ordering at least 2-3 frames to save on postage. However, if you need one frame for a patient, you may order one frame.
What are my ordering options?
On the website, pick whichever way suits how you work. No login needed, except for Excel Order, and they all reach the same desk:
- EZ Order: Type in frame names and quantities. The fastest route if you already know what you want.
- Cart Order: Browse the frames and add them to a cart as you go.
- Scan Order: Scan a barcode or type in a UPC and it lands straight in your cart.
- Select Order: Work down the full line sheet and select as you read.
- Excel Order: Upload your own Excel or CSV order sheet. Every line is matched and checked before it goes in your cart.
- Mix Order: Say how many frames you want and the mix: men's, women's, kids, metal, plastic, sizes. We suggest the styles to match.
- Order Offline: Print a sample sheet, or download the PDF order form and send it back.
Or reach us directly:
- Phone: 877.248.8280 during business hours
- Email or fax: send your list directly to your rep via email, or fax it to 877.248.8280, and we’ll enter it
- Your rep: in person or by virtual appointment
Can I mark who an order is for?
Yes. Every line in your cart has a note field for a tray # or patient name, so you can mark who each frame is for. Whatever you enter comes through with the order and prints on the emailed receipt.
How do I know if a frame and color are available?
If it’s listed on the website, it’s available. If it isn’t listed, it’s no longer orderable: we don’t hold frames as temporarily out of stock, so there’s nothing to wait on.
One exception worth a phone call: if you need a specific frame to fill an Rx, call us at 877.248.8280. We sometimes have a couple left that aren’t showing on the site.
What’s the cutoff for same-day shipping?
Orders placed before 4:00 PM ET on a business day generally ship the same day. Later orders go out the next business day. We don’t ship weekends or on the office’s holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Call 877.248.8280 right away. If it hasn’t shipped we can usually adjust it. If it’s already gone out you can still send it back, no return authorization needed.
How do I reorder a frame a patient loved?
Use the frame name and the color. That’s all we need. Put it in the catalog search or give it to us over the phone and we’ll pull the exact style.
If the style no longer shows on the site and you need it to fill an Rx, call us anyway. We may still have a couple on hand.
How fast will my order arrive?
Orders ship the same or next business day. Ground delivery in the continental U.S. typically runs 1–4 business days depending on your distance from New York. Expedited service is available if you’re waiting on a patient.
What does shipping cost?
You pay the shipping to your location, and it’s added to your invoice. There are never handling charges on top.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International orders are quoted individually, and the receiving business is responsible for duties, taxes, and customs fees. Send us your location and we’ll get you a rate.
Will I get tracking?
Yes. With a customer portal login, shipments to your account show there with their tracking numbers, and each website order shows its own once it’s matched. Otherwise, use the tracking request form or call the office at 877.248.8280 and we’ll give you the number.
Can you ship directly to a patient?
No. We ship to the account’s address only, not to individual patients.
My order arrived damaged.
Call us within 5 business days of delivery with your invoice number and we’ll make it right. Keep the carton and packing material if the box itself was damaged in transit.
Do I need a return authorization number?
No. You don’t have to call for approval, wait on a number, or write anything on the outside of the box. Pack the frames with a note listing your account number and send them back. We handle it from there.
Send returns to: Eight to Eighty Eyewear, Attn: Returns, 2474 Charles Court, Bellmore, NY 11710.
What can I send back?
There are two kinds of returns:
- Stock returns: frames from our current year’s catalog in resalable condition (unworn, unmarked, demo lenses intact). Styles that have aged out of the current catalog, and frames that have been edged, drilled, or adjusted for a patient, can’t come back as stock.
- Factory defects: defective frames have a lifetime guarantee, as long as they’re unworn or show no signs of abuse.
Do I get a refund, a credit, or an exchange?
Returns are generally handled as an account credit, or as an exchange for other styles. Tell us which you’d prefer in the box and we’ll process it that way.
What does the lifetime guarantee actually cover?
Every frame we sell carries a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer defects: hinges that fail, coating that lifts, solder joints that separate, anything that’s our workmanship rather than ordinary use. There’s no time limit.
It covers frames that are unworn or show no signs of abuse. It doesn’t cover accidental damage, normal wear, or damage caused by the lab during edging.
A patient’s frame broke. How do I handle the warranty?
Send the frame back with a note listing your account number. No RA, no claim form. We’ll take a look and take care of you.
Send returns to: Eight to Eighty Eyewear, Attn: Returns, 2474 Charles Court, Bellmore, NY 11710.
Can I get replacement parts: temples, hinge screws, nose pads?
We do not provide replacement parts.
If a part fails due to a manufacturer defect, our lifetime guarantee covers it. Send the frame back to us with a note listing your account number.
Who pays return shipping?
- Samples: we provide the return label.
- Defective frames: you can send them back with a return label from your samples.
Otherwise, postage for returns is the customer’s responsibility.
What brands do you carry?
All nine are ours, designed in-house:
Eight to Eighty Eyewear
Affordable Designs
Serafina Eyewear
Lite Designs
MAXX Eyewear
Brooklyn Heights
Kid Twist
Eyera Eyewear
StepUp Eyewear
Because we own the brands, you’re not paying a licensing fee buried in the wholesale cost.
Which line should I look at for children?
Do you offer sunglasses or readers?
We carry a small selection of sunglasses. Beyond those, every frame we make can be glazed by your lab with prescription sun lenses, or fitted with readers, so you’re not limited to the sun styles when a patient wants a second pair.
Where do I find frame measurements and specs?
Every style page lists eye size, bridge, and temple length. Resources has the full line as CSV and Excel exports if you keep your own inventory records.
What materials do you use?
Depending on the line: stainless steel, TR-90 and other lightweight polymers, zyl acetate, and cellulose propionate, an affordable option.
All our metal frames are made of stainless steel with a clear coat. Many of them use spring hinges as standard.
Do frames ship with demo lenses?
Yes, all frames ship with demo lenses installed. Leave them in on stock frames you might return, since removing them can affect resalable condition.
Are your frames lab-friendly for drill mounts and rimless?
Our rimless and semi-rimless styles use standard drill patterns and are edged routinely by labs across the country. If your lab has a question about a specific mounting, call us and we’ll get them the details.
Do you sell lenses or edge Rx jobs?
No, we sell frames only, and we don’t supply or edge prescription lenses. Every frame comes with demo lenses. Your own lab glazes our frames; if your lab has a question about a specific style or mounting, call us at 877.248.8280 and we’ll get them the details.
How often do you add new styles?
We add around 50 new styles a year. New additions shows what has arrived recently.
Can I get a printed catalog?
Yes, and it’s free. Request one through the catalog request form and we’ll mail it. The current catalog is also in Resources as a PDF.
Can I see samples before I buy?
Request samples through the samples request form and we’ll send a selection so you can handle the product and show your staff.
Please tell us your patient demographics (age groups, kids, value-driven, fashion-forward), so we can tailor what we send instead of mailing a random assortment.
How long can I keep samples, and what if I don’t send them back?
You can keep samples for up to 30 days if you need to, then send them back with the return label we include. All samples are invoiced once the order is processed. What you send back is credited, so you only pay for what you keep. Credits are processed within 10 days of our receipt of the return.
Do I get a sales rep?
Yes, every account has a rep. We don’t assign them by territory, so you’re not handed off to whoever happens to cover your zip code; you get a specific person who knows your account. Call the office and we’ll tell you who yours is.
Can we meet virtually instead of in person?
Absolutely. On a video call your rep will walk the boards with you, show new arrivals, and build an order in real time. Book a time on our calendar, or call the office at 877.248.8280.
Do you provide display boards and POP materials?
No. We don’t offer display boards or point-of-purchase materials.
Where can I meet you in person?
We exhibit at Vision Expo East every year and at select regional shows. Watch our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for booth numbers ahead of each show. Contact us to set up an appointment to meet at our booth.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, check, and ACH. You can also pay an invoice online.
Do you offer net terms?
Yes. Accounts are on Net 30 terms.
Will I be charged sales tax? Do you need my resale certificate?
Our prices don’t include sales tax. We’re a wholesaler, so we don’t collect it. Some state exemptions apply.
No, we don’t need your resale certificate. Questions about tax on your account? Call 877.248.8280 with your account number.
Do I need an account with the card processor to pay online?
No, you do not have to create an account. But if you do, your information is stored safely on our merchant processor, which simplifies logging in and lets you populate your address automatically for future payments.
Can I put an invoice or sales order number on my payment?
Yes. When you pay online, there’s a field for an invoice number, plus a “notes” section where you can list additional sales orders or invoices. You can add your account number to the notes section as well.
Do I have to put an invoice or sales order number?
Yes, we need either your account number or an invoice number so the payment gets applied to the right place. Your account number is what we’d rather have. Put it in the “notes” section.
How do I add my account number?
On the credit card page, when you enter the amount, enter your invoice number or account number under that. For ACH put either in the notes section.
Is the payment page secure?
Yes. Payments are processed on our merchant processor’s secure, encrypted platform.
Will I get a receipt?
A confirmation is emailed to the address you enter at checkout. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder, then call the office and we’ll resend it.
Can I pay several invoices at once?
Yes. Enter the total amount you’re paying and list each invoice or sales order number in the “notes” section so we can apply the payment correctly.
I paid the wrong amount. What do I do?
Call us at 877.248.8280 with the confirmation number and we’ll sort it out.
Can I get a copy of an old invoice or a statement?
Invoices aren’t available online yet. Call the office at 877.248.8280 and we’ll pull whatever you need. If your bookkeeper wants statements on a schedule, we can set that up.
I was billed for something I returned.
Call with the invoice number. Credits post once the return is received and checked in, so there’s sometimes a lag if the box crossed paths with the statement. We’ll confirm receipt and apply the credit.
